Our organization consists of a parent corporation, RAMA, i.e. the "Retired Active Men's Association", and seven branches which are located between Paso Robles and Santa Maria California. Unlike many men's organizations, the RAMS is not steeped in tradition. We do not have ranks or levels, nor do we have initiations or rituals.
Our branch meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month, in the morning, at which time we have a sumptuous Breakfast, and plenty of time for socializing. Time to catch up on what's happened with our friends during the last month, as well as time to meet other members and establish new friendships. And, although our meetings are rich with such activities as the Pledge of Allegiance, an Invocation, recognition of Anniversaries and Birthdays, and a 50/50 Raffle, the highlight of our meeting is the Speaker. Our speakers are chosen from some of the most respected companies, and organizations, in our community, such as the local Television Station, the local Hospital, Civic and Financial Organizations, Public Utilities, and City and County Management.
